King Kong Board adopts Chinese fir as the base material. Chinese fir is a natural wood that does not contain formaldehyde or other harmful substances. Known as "breathable wood", it has become a star material in current home decoration and furniture manufacturing due to its inherent unique advantages.

Chinese fir panels are processed from natural logs with no formaldehyde added during production, making them the first choice for families with infants and young children as well as elderly care spaces. This allows the clothes in the wardrobe and the books in the study to be naturally protected. Compared with ordinary panels, the "golden wood properties" of Chinese fir are more reflected in its excellent physical performance: it is light in weight yet tough, facilitating transportation and installation; its special cell structure endows it with outstanding moisture absorption and release capacity—it can be moisture-proof and mildew-proof in the humid south, and not easy to crack or deform in the dry north. The ENF grade, as the highest grade in GB/T 39600-2021 Classification of Formaldehyde Emission from Wood-Based Panels and Their Products implemented in 2021, once represented the highest standard in the industry.
However, the HENF environmental protection standard specified in the document T/CNFPIA 1003-2022 Limits of Formaldehyde Emission from Heating-Used Wood-Based Panels and Their Products (implemented in May 2022) focuses on testing formaldehyde emission in a high-temperature environment of 30℃. Compared with the ENF grade test (conducted at a normal temperature of 23℃), the testing conditions for the HENF grade are stricter.
This transition from 23℃ to 30℃ is not just an adjustment of temperature parameters, but also an extreme test of panel stability—studies have shown that for every 1℃ increase in temperature, the formaldehyde emission rate increases by 15%-20%. To meet the requirements of the HENF grade (formaldehyde emission ≤ 0.025mg/m³), the key lies in breaking through the technological barrier of formaldehyde-free adhesives. Currently, very few domestic products have passed this test and met the standards.
Nevertheless, the formaldehyde emission of King Kong Board remains below 0.025mg/m³ in a 30℃ environment, meeting the HENF grade standard. This means that King Kong Board can still maintain ultra-low formaldehyde emission in extreme scenarios such as northern heating seasons or southern plum rain seasons.
Fearless of Fire: King Kong Board has passed tests and complies with Class B1 flame-retardant standards ². In case of fire, it can withstand higher combustion temperature and duration without releasing toxic gases, effectively preventing the occurrence and spread of fires and protecting family safety.
Moisture-Proof and Mildew-Resistant: Due to their application scenarios, kitchens and bathrooms are prone to moisture and mildew growth. Especially in kitchens, the generated mildew is extremely likely to endanger family health. King Kong Board has excellent moisture-proof and mildew-resistant functions ³, making it fearless of humid environments.
